Listening to its customers, Cosfibel accompanies them throughout the overall study of their project, by assessing each stage of its ecosystem. ‘Our agility in adapting to different customer policies allows us to respond to any type of request, ranging from premium to ultra-luxury, while respecting the environment and ensuring the best carbon impact’, stated Vincent Desfosses, Head of Design/ packaging. The company, which offers packaging solutions and accessories for cosmetics and spirits, files about five patents a year.

‘Although eco-design is now the marker of all development, packaging design and desirability is what convinces the consumer’, added Eléna Jouffe, Head of Design / bags & accessories.

By looking for the right equation, step by step, all of Cosfibel’s departments are involved in the project, whether it’s design with its internal agency in France or China, eco-design, selection of materials, or transport and logistics, in a CSR approach and respecting ethical values. ‘We have defined an eco-design score with specifications associated with a scoring grid that allows customers to assess the values they want to highlight with their packaging project.’

Cosfibel has a large base of conventional, innovative, and alternative material collections (recyclable, recycled, biosourced, etc.) and solutions that meet circular economy objectives, including the 3Rs – reduce, reuse, and recycle – to offer the end customer different uses and solutions that are recyclable and/or incorporate recycled materials.

The company has forged a strong long-term partnership with many suppliers in Asia, and, to help customers relocate their sourcing, it is expanding its platform with new companies based in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, and Portugal. ‘New entrants are selected based on specific knowledge, taking into account their ability to promptly respond’, stressed Vincent Desfosses.

Cosfibel favours proximity with all the sourcing companies in its network, valuing transparency and respecting values in a creative positioning of packaging eco-design.
