An end-to-end green gift

INSIGHT / EXHIBITORS - INSIGHT / Exposants - 2020/03/04

Specialising in gifts (luggage, accessories, etc.), PM Studio pursues its commitment to environmentally responsible sourcing and provides the customer with a carbon footprint sheet for each solution offered. To calculate this carbon footprint, PM Studio undertakes to assess it at each stage of the product’s manufacture, including transport, in an end-to-end perspective.

A bio-plastic composed of 60% plant material (wood chips) and 40% recycled plastic from recycled waste has joined Bio-PU, presented last year, in PM Studio’s material collection.

Introducing a new environmentally responsible material only makes sense if the entire value chain is also environmentally responsible’, said Patricia Stranik, CEO. The company also intends to demonstrate that the entire eco-system of its offering is ‘totally green’, from product manufacturing up to delivery to the customer.

The Europe sourcing option has become an evidence in the green race, and PM Studio also offers its customers in China its Green Lab Factory, installed ‘in a landscape where rivers flow’, stressed Patricia Stranik.

The site, which is solar powered, employs resident workers and includes a school. ‘Our commitment is part of a CSR policy that values the social and environmental dimension of our supplier’, said the manager of PM Studio, who helped adapt it to environmental standards.

To reduce the carbon footprint of the entire value chain, PM Studio uses its latest generation triple E green freighters and Euro 6 lorries to transport its products.

On arrival in France, the transfer from warehouses to customer sites is handled by logistics specialists which offer green solutions, such as 100% recycled ‘green’ polymer pallets or a transit barge.
