LUXE PACK – Édition Spéciale 2027 Makes Sustainability an Object of Desire.

Returning to Le Carreau du Temple on 11–12 May 2027 with a new identity, the event champions a clear conviction: sustainability, limited editions and exceptional creations are not opposing concepts—they are designed together.

Paris, 25 June 2026 — Launched in 2019 as Édition Spéciale by LUXE PACK, France's only event dedicated exclusively to eco-designed packaging and circular economy solution providers is entering a new chapter and becomes LUXE PACK – Édition Spéciale.
More than a name change, this evolution—marked by a new visual identity, a return to Le Carreau du Temple, and a new signature—reflects a clear positioning: transforming sustainability from a constraint into a driver of value creation.
"For years, luxury and sustainability were portrayed as opposing forces, as though creating a desirable object and designing responsible packaging belonged to two incompatible worlds. We believe the opposite. A limited edition or an exceptional piece designed to last is, by its very nature, the antithesis of disposability. Designing luxury that endures means bringing desirability and responsibility together in one creative act." Fabienne Germond

When Exceptional Design Becomes the Antidote to Disposable Culture

For decades, limited editions and exceptional presentation cases were often viewed as the opposite of restraint: more material, more decoration, more waste.
LUXE PACK – Édition Spéciale challenges that perception. An object designed to be kept, refilled, reused or collected naturally escapes the logic of disposability. This is precisely where luxury craftsmanship premium materials, fine case-making, decoration and finishing meets eco-design, not as a compromise, but as a shared pursuit of permanence.

2027: The Year Eco-Design Becomes a Market Requirement

The regulatory landscape makes 2027 a turning point.
With the implementation of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), packaging minimisation, reduced empty space, recyclability and reuse are no longer optional sustainability ambitions—they become conditions for market access.
The challenge is particularly significant for luxury brands, whose traditional packaging codes—heavy presentation boxes, oversized cases and elaborate decorative elements—are directly affected.

In 2027, brands will no longer choose whether to embrace eco-design; they will be required to. LUXE PACK – Édition Spéciale positions itself as the place where brands meet the suppliers capable of solving one of today's greatest challenges: combining desirability with compliance—not one at the expense of the other, but both simultaneously.

An Event That Speaks to Every Decision-Maker

LUXE PACK – Édition Spéciale brings together both sides of the brand organisation.
On one hand, creative and marketing teams seeking limited editions, desirability, exceptional craftsmanship and brand differentiation. On the other, sustainability, procurement and compliance teams focused on eco-design, PPWR requirements, traceability and supply chain resilience.
This dual perspective defines the event's uniqueness: bringing together those who imagine the product and those who make it compliant.
Its conference programme including keynote sessions, panel discussions, case studies and workshops supports professionals at every stage of their sustainability journey, from first eco-design initiatives to the industry's most advanced strategies.

From Materials to Data: Making Sustainability Verifiable

Luxury eco-design is no longer defined solely by materials—premium recycled content, mono-material solutions, refill and reuse systems, or decoration compatible with recycling.
It is equally driven by data.
Traceability technologies, the Digital Product Passport (DPP), NFC and QR solutions transform packaging into both proof of sustainability and a powerful customer engagement channel.
At a time when the Green Claims Directive demands greater transparency, the ability to substantiate environmental claims becomes essential. Sustainability is no longer declared it must be demonstrated.

Every Industry Where Packaging Creates Value

What unites the brands attending LUXE PACK – Édition Spéciale is not their sector but their philosophy: packaging is not simply a container—it is an integral part of the product's value.
Fragrance and cosmetics, wines and spirits, fashion and accessories, leather goods, gourmet food and lifestyle brands now share the same challenge: How do you remain desirable while becoming compliant?
