SENSE AND SENSORY MATERIALS
Discovered were these start-ups that combine nature and innovation to create revolutionary and surprising materials that are 100% natural, bio-sourced, augmented, recycled, etc.
Natural, bio-sourced, augmented, recycled materials… During their pitches, these gems answered the questions that brands are asking themselves: how to combine the characteristics of luxury with the objectives of sustainable development ?
They were present :
- CILKOA treats the paper with a fine ceramic coating and protects it from water, oxygen and water vapour.
- INSTEAD design sustainable products made in France from the wasted cereals used to brew beer.
- LA TANNERIE VEGETALE focuses on the development and production of Phyli®, the first bio-circular flexible material, meeting the same requirements of resistance and durability as luxury leather.
- LACTIPS develops, produces, and commercializes a plastic-free plastic since 2014. This natural polymer, named CareTips®, is 100% bio-based, completely biodegradable in all environments, and water-soluble.
- NISIAR r is a flexible, durable and modular material, inspired by the history of French vineyards. This
material is made from grape marc and bio-polymer, allowing it to reach 75% of natural materials. - PEELSHPERE is an alternative to leather and synthetic leather, PEELSPHERE® is made from fruit waste and algae through
advanced material engineering. - FLEXSEA is a sustainable, compostable seaweed-derived material that replaces flexible plastic packaging seamlessly
Symrise x Marianne Guély
For this extraordinary collaboration with the 6 talented perfumers from Symrise, Marianne GUELY, a plastic artist specializing in paper scultpure, has conceived a multifaceted and multimedia work inspired by nature, a subtle blend of paper, alabaster, and cedar wood.
Her medium, her best friend, paper, is also a material close to perfumers, it accompanies them infinitely in their creative processes. So it’s only natural that for this artwork, Marianne Guély used her favorite neutral PH white-cream paper as a blank canvas for olfactory imagination, “Rhapsody and counterpoint of white papers on Wood and Alabaster.”
With the multidisciplinary talents of the studios, artists, craftsmen, and sculptors, the tree metamorphoses, it becomes hybrid, vegetation, mineral, flowers bloom like a sculptural landscape.
An inspiration that is tactile, visual and olfactory.

Johe Bruneau x Gainerie 91
Genèse is an artistic movement born from the desire of the Gainerie 91 Group to redefine the boundaries of art by transforming industrial waste into jewels. At the heart of this exploration, Écorces becomes the first work of the Genèse movement. Created from discarded materials – wood veneer scraps and leather – this monumental work breathes life and permanence. Like a millennium-old tree, it embodies resilience and the beauty of renewal. Resulting from the encounter between artist Johé Bruneau and the Gainerie 91 Group during the 2022 edition, Écorces aims to disrupt the viewer’s gaze through its layering, colors, and reliefs. > Booth E18
