Biography
Tarik is an expert in living systems and is recognized for his ability to draw inspiration from nature to address human and economic challenges through approaches such as biomimicry, permaculture, and nature-based solutions. As Director of the Bio-Inspired Strategies Division at the Institut des Futurs souhaitables, he supports organizations across various sectors in integrating regenerative models, rethinking their interactions with biodiversity, and transforming their production and consumption models as well as their success criteria. He designs educational programs ranging from Master's level courses in design and engineering to shorter formats, including digital modules (MOOCs). A founding member of the Center of Excellence for Biomimicry (CEEBIOS), he also sits on Mission Committees of purpose-driven organizations (as defined by France's Pacte Law). Tarik co-develops Research/Action/Knowledge-sharing programs on key topics such as regenerative infrastructure, territorial transitions, and regenerative production and consumption models. A former Director of the Science and Environment Program at the Cousteau Team for over 10 years, he has also been leading polar expeditions for more than 20 years.
