Informations

The entry into force of the "PPWR" in February reshuffles the cards of the European circular economy of plastic packaging. The fact that regulatory obligations apply increasingly to plastic packaging constitutes an opportunity for our sector: that of demonstrating that plastic packaging is recyclable, reusable while meeting the functionalities required for the products it protects, transports and stores. ELIPSO proposes to (1) recall the main obligations that will be imposed in the coming years (lightening, minimization, restrictions, reuse, recyclability and integration), while (2) specifying the importance of adapting certain national rules that are now obsolete and (3) highlighting the importance of supporting our Franco-European recycling model, in the context of massive imports from Asia, and (4) to restore consistency in the approach to certain issues such as that of single use in relation to reuse.
