Thibierge & Comar makes transparency natural
Thibierge & Comar has nearly 25 years of expertise in the field of transparent papers, and, in particular, tracing paper. Drawing on its real expertise in both R&D, production and processing, the company is entering the packaging market in 2023 with a new range designed as an alternative to plastic in many applications.
Taking part in Edition Spéciale by LuxePack for the first time, papermaker Thibierge & Comar is keen to make an impact by unveiling a brand-new transparent paper concept, dedicated to packaging: Sfumato Flex. This is the first transparent paper for packaging, 100% bio-based and recyclable. It is also FSC-certified, as is Thibierge & Comar’s historic range of graphic papers, Cromatico.
Sfumato Flex transparent paper has been specially designed to accommodate complex foldings, making it a solution that meets the requirements of high-end packaging. Sfumato Flex is a new sustainable and qualitative alternative to transparent plastic for folding pouches, expandable pouches, shopper bags, sleeves, etc. It can also be easily customised with offset, screen printing, hot stamping, embossing, etc.
