Sericyne : dix ans d’expertise pour une soie pure, éthique et adaptée au luxe

Founded by Clara Hardy in 2015, Sericyne celebrates its ten-year anniversary in 2025. Born from a final-year project, the company revived sericulture in France, cultivating its own mulberry trees and raising silkworms in the Cévennes, at the heart of a protected environment.
Sericyne produces a non-woven, pure, and ethical silk, free of chemicals, and coming from a certified organic process. This unique material, used by luxury houses such as Chanel, Martell, or Bellavista, is distinguished by its transparency, traceability, and multiple applications: decoration, packaging, cosmetics, and leather goods.
The company also valorizes sericin, a natural silk protein with moisturizing properties, developed for cosmetic uses.

After several years of research, Sericyne has developed an eco-friendly alternative to leather, with eight times less environmental impact.
With a new workshop planned for 2026, Sericyne continues its growth and confirms its position as a pioneer of sustainable silk in the luxury sector.
