Maestro Packaging made a name for itself in packaging with a single-material box concept, developed with Box By 111. In 2023, the company is once again distinguishing itself in the box market, thanks to a recent technological innovation. This innovation was thanks to a new machine co-designed by the industrial machinery manufacturer Emmeci and PLASTIGRAFICA, which turns in the edges of micro-corrugated cardboard rather than compact cardboard. In early May, it will be presented as a world premiere at the Interpack trade fair in Düsseldorf and will then join the Italian factory at the end of May.
As a result, Maestro Packaging will be able to offer a new type of BOX to its customers: the aptly named 50% WEIGHT BOX! This solution focuses on weight reduction, which is one of the keys to reducing the overall carbon footprint of a product. The use of micro-corrugated cardboard for the turning in process halves the box weight. The other advantage is aesthetic. Not only does it allow full-height turning-in on the lid and base, but it also provides a flawless finish for most finishing processes, such as embossing.
