Gainerie Moderne: priority given to recycled materials

Founded in 1960, the Swiss company Gainerie Moderne is today one of the key suppliers of luxury packaging, with a production network stretching from Europe to Asia. Committed to using responsible materials and developing innovative concepts, it will be showcasing several eco-designed innovations at the show.
For the watch and jewellery industry, Gainerie Moderne will be presenting a watch case and a multifunctional jewellery case. The first is made from cardboard, recycled FSC® paper, recycled polyurethane (PU), recycled FSC® wood and recycled microfibre. The second combines recycled and recyclable aluminium, recycled PU and recycled microfibre. Both come with a pouch.
There is also something for the wine and spirits sector with a mono-material concept for dressing or transporting bottles: a pouch made of biodegradable and/or compostable wool felt guaranteed to be formaldehyde-free and a ‘grand cru‘ sleeve wine made of laser-cut FSC® wood and fitted with a recycled and recyclable nylon cord.
These four new products reflect Gainerie Moderne’s commitment to choosing recycled raw materials, sourced locally, by promoting the subsequent recycling of each material through separable components. In addition, the packaging is designed to optimise the weight and volume of each component, while ensuring the right protection. Finally, the focus is on design and aesthetics to give these cases and pouches the possibility of a second life.
