Alterskin® is a flexible, high-performance bio-based resin suitable for a wide range of applications, including coated textiles and surface coatings. It is a PFAS-free, recyclable technology manufactured in France.

The bio-based resin stands out for its shape memory, which provides flexibility, durability, and a distinctive tactile feel—making it particularly well-suited for fine leather goods applications. Its customizable formulation allows for virtually unlimited personalization: colors, textures (grains), finishes (matte, glossy), thicknesses, and even fragrance integration.

It also enables the adjustment of specific technical properties (adhesion, resistance, etc.) to meet the unique constraints of each application, while remaining fully compatible with existing industrial processes.

What are the concrete environmental benefits of Alterskin®, particularly in terms of raw materials, production, and end-of-life?

Alterskin® is designed according to the principles of green chemistry, with a bio-based composition (up to 100%), PFAS-free, and non-toxic.

Circularity is embedded from the material’s design stage. Alterskin® is 100% recyclable through an in-house green chemistry recycling process, enabling the recovery of production offcuts and their full reintegration, allowing the bio-resin components to be reused without any loss of performance.

With this infinite recycling approach, we make no distinction between virgin and recycled sourcing.
