Natural Silk: Sericyne Showcases Its Expertise in the World of Luxury
! STARTUP! NEW !

Sericyne is revolutionizing the world of silk by producing a natural, non-woven silk that restores French silk to its place among the finest materials.
It is in Monoblet, in the heart of the Cévennes in the Gard region, that Clara Hardy, 35, is reviving silkworm farming. Alongside a researcher from INRA in Lyon, she has developed an innovative and patented process allowing silkworms to spin directly in three dimensions, without forming a cocoon, paving the way for the creation of objects in various shapes.
Founded in 2015, her company Sericyne stands at the crossroads of rural craftsmanship, technological innovation, and industry. Since then, it has secured a prominent place in the world of luxury. For the end-of-year celebrations, 70,000 silk pieces were created to decorate the bottle of a famous perfume house.
Thanks to its unique process, it can be infinitely transformed into 2D or 3D creations, enabling unexpected combinations: inclusions, dyes, markings, etc. It possesses natural properties such as UV filtration, resistance, thermoregulation, hydration, good scent retention, etc.
