FAVINI, at the forefront of sustainability and innovation in its papers
Favini is a leading global producer of graphics specialties, in particular natural fibers-based (cellulose, algae, fruits, nuts, leather, textile) paper, for the packaging of luxury and fashion industries.
It also operates in the converting products industry developing stationery for school, office and hobby.
Favini counts on more than 30-years-experience in the creative reuse of waste from other industries, and the reduction of water, energy and CO2 emissions are also amongst our priorities. Favini is recognized in the market for a strong attitude regarding environmental sustainability, however the social sustainability is crucial for a comprehensive ethical approach.
“Paper from our Echosystem”
From the 90s onwards, our R&D department has developed papers that respect circular economy, combining sustainability and innovation. Over the years this process has been improved and refined, making it possible to create a wide range of ecological papers called “Paper from our Echosystem”. To meet the nowadays needs of packaging and high-end printing, this new ecological collection:

  • is made with eco-innovative raw materials: recycled paper, up-cycled materials such as textile or agro-industrial waste or alternative fibre sources such as bamboo.
  • is zero-emission
  • is produced with renewable energy
  • is recyclable, biodegradable and FSC™ certified
The collection includes already 6 types of paper: Alga Carta, Crush, Remake, Refit, Shiro Echo and Tree Free.
Paper from our Echosystem offers sustainable packaging and printing solutions that luxury companies can adopt following a green direction.
For Favini, modern packaging must not only be functional and aesthetically pleasing but must also have been created with respect for the environment, starting from the raw materials necessary to create it, such as paper. Accordingly, we have studied products that stand out for their strong ecological credentials, which make the packaging highly sustainable, as well as beautiful and high functioning. For this reason, the papers marked with the Echosystem logo will have the guarantee of being environmentally friendly.
