Launched in December 2021 by Cyril-Alexandre Blanc, Les Ateliers du Sac is currently, after a year of activity, the only shopping bag manufacturing plant in France. It has over a hundred customers in all business sectors combined: ready-to-wear, leather goods, wine, jewellery, events, property, culture, etc.
This trademark of Ateliers Agis, a successful company specialising in graphic arts for over 35 years, was supported by the France Relance programme set up by the French government, and is part of the French Fab.
Through its commitment to participate in the industrial redevelopment of France, Les Ateliers du Sac has relocated its mainly Asian production to France, and proves that a return to French know-how is possible!
Since December 2021, over 400,000 bags have been manufactured at the Rennes plant, using 100% responsible products.
Ateliers’ promises are:
  • bio-sourced materials from France or neighbouring countries,
  • a fully recycled and recyclable finished product,
  • a product with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
“Les Ateliers du Sac’s aim is to have both an environmental and social impact”, said Cyril-Alexandre Blanc. “The launch of this new business enabled the workshops to recruit three people and work with a sheltered workshop for cord fitting on the bags”.
Les Ateliers du Sac responds to urgent requests by offering several ranges of shopping bags for sale on its website (www.lesateliersdusac.com/boutique) and ensures delivery within 72 hours. These Premium ranges can then be customised by logo hot stamping (Premium +).

Finally, the Premium and Premium + ranges were extended in 2023 with shopping bag ranges specially designed for wine shops and vineyards.
Being the first – and only – shopping bag factory in France, ensuring 100% French (and Breton) manufacturing, Les Ateliers du Sac supports the industrial redevelopment of France by having relocated its mainly Asian production.
Les Ateliers du Sac also wishes to extend its range of cords by offering paper (FSC certified), or vegetable-tanned leather versions.
