Winter&Company: Environmentally friendly by nature
Thanks to its Winter Wrup-Cycling recycling process, the Swiss company Winter&Company now offers a wide range of sustainable products mainly made out of recycled materials from post-consumer and post-industrial waste. This extremely virtuous process does not compromise on quality. A new high-quality velvet feel and a suede appearance will be among the novelties that will be presented at the Edition Spéciale by Luxe Pack.
Winter Wrup Cycling: the art of producing new materials from recovered resources
In the company’s sustainable development strategy, Winter Wrup-Cycling is an absolute priority: it consists of a recycling process in which selected and sustainable but most importantly recycled raw materials, from post-consumer and post-industrial waste, are transformed into new cover materials.
Wintan, for example, has been produced this manner since 1995. It was developed from of tannery residue leather fibres which were transformed into a new sustainable material. Made from natural leather fibre, it looks, feels, and smells like real leather.
A subtle and luxury feel
Made from waste PET bottles, Velours Recycled is one of the range’s novelties: it is an elegant velvet, 100% recycled, with a subtle feel, ideal for luxury display and packaging projects.
Another novelty is Suedel Luxe Recycled, recognisable by its suede appearance. This new environmentally-friendly item is made from recycled cotton and cellulosic fibres. It uses Wibalin as the base paper. ‘Cotton production creates waste. We collect this waste, clean it, and turn it into high-quality flock, made from 100% recycled cotton. We then apply the flock on Wibalin Recycled to create Suedel Luxe Recycled.
