2021/02/25 by ARJOWIGGINS FRANCE

Arjowiggins has responded to the demand for responsible and sustainable packaging with Sylvicta: a new revolutionary and translucent paper with significant barrier properties. This major innovation will be presented at Edition Spéciale by LuxePack in a collection of high-end, environmentally friendly creative papers.

Sylvicta is a translucent and versatile paper suitable for contact with food. Its advanced barrier properties allow help preserve food or sensitive products, just like conventional plastic and aluminium materials, but with a significantly reduced environmental impact.

A revolutionary paper with significant barrier properties

One of Sylvicta‘s most striking characteristics is its very high barrier to oxygen – the main cause of food spoilage – which helps reduce food waste by extending the shelf life of food.

Unlimited finishing possibilities

On conventional processing lines, Sylvicta offers unlimited possibilities: hot foil stamping, lamination, embossing, digital printing, offset, rotogravure, flexography, metallisation or coating with a sealable layer (hot or cold).

Sylvicta is truly part of a circular economy since it can be recycled via the paper recovery channel widely accessible to the general public which has proven its effectiveness.

Creative papers that write the future

At Edition Spéciale by Luxepack, Arjowiggins will also be writing the future with its creative papers, including its iconic Conqueror, Keaykolour, Rives, Delos, Butterfly, and Greenluxe ranges, available in grades ranging from 120 to 400 grams.

Along with excellent technical properties, this paper also offers unlimited printing and finishing possibilities, from embossing to hot stamping, including varnishing and die-cutting, making it ideal for luxury packaging applications.
